A Little Push Can Help Jiyaan Win His Battle

Jiyaan, born on 10 April 2018, has been bravely fighting Thalassemia Major since he was just two months old. He is undergoing treatment at Naraina Health SRCC, Mumbai, under the care of Dr. Chintan.

From the very beginning, doctors advised that a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) was his best chance for a complete cure. For his father, Mr. Vinayak Madhukar, a resident of Malad West, Mumbai, arranging the enormous treatment cost of nearly ₹39 lakh was an unimaginable challenge. He does small work and has very limited means, but he and his family refused to give up on their little son.

They approached several agencies and sought help from every possible source. Their perseverance finally brought hope. With support from Tata Trusts, PM Fund and other sources, the family was able to arrange around ₹35 lakh, and Jiyaan’s BMT has successfully been completed.

But the battle is not over yet.

Jiyaan now needs approximately ₹4 lakh for his post-BMT therapies, essential investigations, medicines and treatment of complications that may arise during this critical recovery period.

Jiyaan has come this far. He is almost winning the battle. ❤️
