However, a good number of women, particularly in rural and semi-urban regions, are not connected to this digital revolution because they do not have access, skills, and awareness of the same. This is where the NGO to empower women livelihood comes in. Through the advancement of digital literacy, these organizations are closing the digital divide and unleashing new opportunities of livelihood to women in India.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The Role of Digital Literacy in Women\u2019s Empowerment<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Digital literacy is not simply being savvy in the use of a smartphone or a computer. It involves knowing how to find information, how to communicate over the internet, how to handle online transactions, and use technology in personal and professional development. To the women, digital literacy is a source of self reliance and economic independence. It helps them to experiment with job opportunities, create small online businesses, and reach broader markets by e-commerce and social media.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A women livelihood empowerment NGO aims at equipping them with these indispensable skills via formal digital trainings.
